What Aegis analyzes
Aegis can analyze messages, email text, URLs, supported screenshots, and other suspicious content. It combines AI-assisted interpretation with deterministic URL signals and available third-party threat intelligence.
Protection software should earn trust with transparent evidence, privacy boundaries, and calm guidance rather than fear or certainty it cannot support.

When a signed-in user saves an analysis, Aegis stores that report privately with their account so it can appear in their history. Anonymous results are shown without being added to a shared dashboard.
Aegis does not store passwords entered into the Pwned Passwords checker. Do not submit passwords, one-time codes, payment-card numbers, private keys, or banking credentials for analysis.
Aegis Browser Protection is available through the Chrome Web Store. Installation is separate from optional account connection. The extension sends only the current public URL for a safety check. It does not collect page content, form fields, passwords, one-time codes, payment-card details, cookies, session tokens, or unrelated browsing history. Its short-lived cache stays in the browser. Connected browsers save threats and warnings privately by default; you can opt into saving all analyzed sites, and low-risk activity from that setting expires after 30 days. The connection uses a one-time code and a separate revocable browser credential, never your Aegis sign-in session.
Password checking happens in the browser. The password is SHA-1 hashed and only the first five hash characters are sent to Have I Been Pwned; matching happens locally in the browser.
AI and threat intelligence can be incomplete or wrong. Aegis communicates the signals it found and does not guarantee that content is safe or malicious. Verify high-impact requests through official channels.
Identity features require ownership verification. Aegis uses breach intelligence for monitoring; if it is temporarily unavailable, Aegis says so rather than inventing monitoring results.
Aegis Individual subscriptions use Razorpay Checkout. Aegis does not collect raw card numbers; it stores only operational subscription identifiers and status needed to provide the plan you choose.
